RON OF ARGYLL

 

Ron of Argyll is a Gaff Rigged Ketch (a yacht with two masts).  She is 62ft in length and is sailed by an  experienced crew of 2  with up to 12 passengers to accompany them for their  journey. Built in Scotland in 1928 the vessel has proven her  endurance as well as creating her own piece of history. Upon  being purchased in 1990 by here current owner she has been
restored to show the elegance and beauty of sailing in her  era. 
Fitted out with state of the art electronics and modern safety equipment the "Ron" provides the excitement of old world sailing with comfort and luxury. 

Sailing in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef around the 74 Whitsunday Islands, the 'Ron' will take you from one tropical island to the next. As well as the sailing you will be able to enjoy swimming, snorkeling over the fabulous island fringing coral reefs, sunbathing, beach walks or you could just simply relax on board.

Whilst on board the crew will take care of all the sailing and seamanship duties for you. However, if you would like to hoist the sails and take the helm just let our
friendly crew know and they'll show you how its done.
